Swedish-American Meir (b. July 1, 1977) a marine biologist and physiologist, was an assistant professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School, Boston. Studies of penguins, bar-headed geese and diving physiology enabled Meir to acquire the Aquanaut's post on the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations 4 (NEEMO 4) in September 2002. She was selected as NASA Astronaut in 2013. Meir landed on the ISS on September 25, 2019 onboard Soyuz MS-15...

Koch returned to Earth with two other astronauts aboard Soyuz MS-13 spacecraft on 6th February 2020, and Meir followed suit on April 17th 2020 aboard Soyuz MS-15, both landing in Kazakhstan. While Meir clocked 205 days on the ISS, Koch holds the record with 328 days...

Both Koch and Meir were included in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020...
