FLAWED PRINCIPLE

It is International Self-Care Day today, and yet another 24th, marking 17 months of conflict in Eastern Europe. With the Kerch Strait bridge suffering yet another damage last week and Russia, almost reflexly, putting brakes on the hitherto 'food-prices stabilizing' Black Sea grain deal followed by strikes on Odesa, fresh dark clouds of hunger loom large on several dependent nations...

With much water having flown under the 'David-Goliath' bridge, one wonders whether peace would ever be given a chance, since such moves of hope are hardly visible over the horizon...

While it is said that everything that begins has to end, be it lives, an event, a thought, an article, anything, but perhaps war not so easily; not unprecedented either. Yes, it could end after a certain length of time, anybody's guess, but in this context one would now certainly ask as to 'at what cost?'...

No constituent of nature works on a principle of profit except human beings...

The sun illuminates the whole globe without any expectations. Monsoon he replenishes water reserves for us terrestrials. Birds sing spontaneously, in fact even without an audience. Flowers bloom and share their aroma and fragrance selflessly, sans any copyright. The trees bear fruits, not for themselves, but human beings make money from them, and so on and so forth...

The whole universe functions in a spirit of sacrifice, except human beings. Understandably so, only the human beings thus suffer, from all kinds of troubles and illnesses, be it physical or mental...

Universe has not been created for selfishness. And whenever selfishness crosses nature's specified limits - oblivious to us mortals - she would leave no stone unturned to retaliate in a befitting manner...

Not just pacemakers to restore the rhythm of dysfunctional hearts, the world needs peacemakers as well to restore harmony amongst the globally disgruntled...

May peace prevail upon earth, and us all...

🙏🙏
