OF ERASERS

Having been a receiver-cum-contributor of morning messages for quite some time now, the attached picture-quote of today from a friend of mine set me thinking. Attitude does matter a lot...

Apparently the tiny 'eraser' encompasses knowledge, courage and valor, and also serves as a means of redemption...

For, I have heard about an 'eraser' quote which highlighted the reason why as primary school children we were allowed the use of a pencil with an eraser, prior to our usage of ink...

Am sure all of us would recollect our student days, the charged milieu, uncertainty, peer-pressure, homework etc. with mistakes as a norm. But we had 'erasers' of all kinds then to aid us, for there was always a lesson to be learned, and a way to correct mistakes if any...

I read a pupil-mentor analytical article on 'erasers' where the mentor explains why one should never shy away from an eraser, no matter the phase of life...

Learning is an ongoing process till we exist here. Errors are bound to occur, whether we use ink or pencil. The point is to use the eraser, learn the lesson, and proceed...

An eraser could be thought of something that gives one a sense of security, a pressure reliever, enabling us to edit and try again, allowing analysis at a convenient time to add/delete the finer points, thus augmenting performances, and helping us focus on what is ahead. ..

An eraser needn't be always an object. Being a patient listener, being ready to admit a mistake, letting go of past, being optimistic, proactive and conscientious etc. are various 'erasers' that come to my mind...

"We all make mistakes, and it is better to make them before we begin.”
