As Halloween ceremonially ends the month, October 2023, like the second month of 2022, saw the aggravation of a localised longstanding unrest with indications of it flaring up into a wider conflict...

I couldn't have received, from a friend of mine, this picture quote at a more appropriate time, today being John Keats's 228th birth anniversary, and one who left this world at an extremely tender age, of 25...

The great bard's lovely lines do have immense relevance even today, as the world continues to grapple with troubled times. Indeed, love is the only true religion worth laying down a life for. Similar sentiments were echoed by the 13th century Sufi poet, Jalaluddin Rumi...

It is necessary to realize the immeasurable power of love, for love's sake, to break all known barriers coming in the way of transformation and upliftment. Love does not discriminate, love is acceptable, and love is virtually devoid of cons. Man, for Keats, is inherently good, with love coming naturally to him till he is introduced to hatred and violence...

I am a firm believer that -
an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth would make the whole world blind and edentulous;
if anger, conflict and war were effective remedies, the world would have already been a haven of peace;
and while one could justify or even defend a war, it can never ever be an excuse...

India observes today the birth anniversary of her great unifier, the Iron Man of India, her first deputy PM Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the death anniversary of her first, and the world’s second PM, Mrs. Indira Gandhi...

We need to somehow rekindle and unblock the flow of love, with the firm belief of it's all pervasive power to cleanse and gladden every heart and soul, and literally to love for the sake of love, for the sake of world harmony, and for the sake of peaceful coexistence...

November 8th is observed as International Day Of Radiology as a tribute to the great German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen for his discovery of X-Rays in 1895.. The 1845 born Nobel Laureate of 1901, Röntgen majored in Physics and completed his PhD at the University of Zurich.. Discovering X-rays accidentally while using cathode rays for images of his wife’s hand, which depicted the bones and the wedding ring, Röntgen had made a giant leap for mankind in medical diagnosis..
