13th November is observed as World Kindness Day, started by a multi-nation NGO coalition, World Kindness Movement in 1998, with Canada, Australia, Nigeria and the UAE in the forefront...

The theme for 2023 is -
"Be Kind Wherever Possible."

Kindness can be said to be a virtue involving a spirit of being helpful, generous and compassionate, without any expectations...

For some it could vary from being nice and benevolent to being a philosophy and religion, traversing all known barriers...

Being 'kind' and 'forgiving' are ways of showing love and respect for the Creator through one's conscience, while being 'nice' is doing something that makes one look good in the eyes of others...

Kindness imparts a feel good factor for both doer and receiver, the former choosing to inspire and prop up those who find themselves in dire straits...

Just as one can’t give what one doesn't possess, kindness ought to be towards oneself as well in order to be truly kind to others...

With ever increasing duels on social media, the adage 'respect begets respect' seems to be becoming a thing of the past, and kindness a rarity...

While it's beauty increases manifold with just God and conscience as witnesses, it is this hope and faith in kindness that come to the rescue to keep the world afloat as various storms and turbulences threaten to blow and sink her...

November 8th is observed as International Day Of Radiology as a tribute to the great German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen for his discovery of X-Rays in 1895.. The 1845 born Nobel Laureate of 1901, Röntgen majored in Physics and completed his PhD at the University of Zurich.. Discovering X-rays accidentally while using cathode rays for images of his wife’s hand, which depicted the bones and the wedding ring, Röntgen had made a giant leap for mankind in medical diagnosis..
