WORLD REFUGEE DAY - 20 JUNE

The theme for the World Refugee Day 2024 is -
"The way forward: A collective approach to addressing the health needs of refugees."

For instance, about three-quarters of all refugees under UNHCR are from just five countries - Afghanistan, Syria, Venezuela, Ukraine and South Sudan...

The ideal of a refugee returning home being subject to the cessation of the causes of displacement, UN currently facilitates local integration and resettlement...

"[Refugees] cannot be stopped, but they can and must be managed better, more humanely, protecting migrants' human rights whilst accepting states' rights to control their borders."
