WATERING OF PLANTS
It is said that watering of plants, irrespective of the method, is a profoundly rejuvenating exercise, strengthening one's connection with mother earth, and a stress buster from the routine rigors of life. Be it by way of sprayers, water-cans, pipes, sprinklers, drip-irrigators, so on and so forth...
As the water percolates into the soil or the pots, a soothing effect ensues with an associated feeling of having facilitated the nourishment of a living force. Handling the soil-water mixture is like the 'electrical earthing', providing us happy de-stressed moments along with a sense of achievement...
As the parts of the plant develop and bloom over time in front of our eyes, we learn to pause, to focus on simple things and to 'smell the flowers' on our paths. The beauty of nature's cycle and the resilience of plants teach us optimism, perseverance and adaptability amidst adversities...
Coincidentally, as I write this, June till August end are monsoon months in India, when the surface gets drenched, with scores of people eagerly awaiting the petrichor...
