THANKSGIVING DAY

A day to express gratitude to our Creator, for the innumerable bounties, for the love and care showered upon us along our paths of life. A day for fun and frolic with the company of nears and dears, is a day for farmers to express gratitude for their autumn harvest...

Observed with fervour in in the US, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Philippines etc., the origins of Thanksgiving Day aren't clear. While President Lincoln officially declared the last Thursday of November in 1863, President Roosevelt changed it to the fourth in 1939, leading to coinage of the term "Franksgiving"...

Though 'Thank You' are just two simple ice-breaker words, they have the innate capacity to add meaning and sense of purpose into our daily lives. The simplest of responses appreciative of the contribution of others towards gladdening of one's heart, a 'Thank You' is quite often skipped, knowingly or otherwise. A term that we've been used to since childhood, 'Thank You' is perhaps applicable at every step, and in all walks of life...

For most of us thanking people for their efforts in making us comfortable occur as a humane reflex. One should take care not to sound as an auto-response, but rather always mean it from the bottom of one's heart. In addition to the joy of making others feel recognized, respected, loved and appreciated, a 'Thank You,' acts as a great motivating factor...

Akin to principles of natural justice, thanking and giving due credit (which  seems to be on the decline) to others are often seen to be duly awarded in ways totally unforeseen...

While courtesy may occasionally be given a miss in our hustle bustle and human errors, if one is sincerely grateful from within, that should suffice for the sake of humanity. For, a grateful 'Thank You' is in accordance with the law of Karma which says:
'What goes around comes around.'...

🙏🙏
