With the love and care showered at birth, kindness is basic to our existence, the child being the ideal example. Anger, hate, jealousy and other negativities are gathered along the way, effortlessly; kindness needs efforts. Kindness isn't meekness, but a virtue of strength and courage...
The word 'kindness' carries an aura of soothness. Those emotionally evolved show their feelings and make sincere attempts to lend ears and shoulders, in contrast to those who are just aware of other's predicaments, usually appearing self-centered and haughty...
The spontaneous attractiveness of the kind-hearted, cutting across age and appearance, is a palpable abstract, endearing the person to one and all...
And, just as the birds don't care as to upon whose ears their melodies fall, likewise kindness emanates from the person, to be felt by all in the vicinity, benefitting both giver and receiver...
With the potential of it's ripple effects to rub off on others, of spreading altruism, the win-win situation of random acts of kindness are certainly troubles worthy of being taken...
The fragility of the world and the fallibility of others in current times in mind, being tender and soft-hearted is true kindness. Inculcating values right from childhood would aid in being hopeful that we don't end up being just mechanised individuals sans feelings...
Conflicts or wars aren't solutions for the problems of the world. It has to be by way of love, compassion and kindness. Small acts of caring, smile, touch, hug, hearing out, encouraging words etc. can have immense effects on an arid psyche. Kindness touches the world in ways unknown that keeps it nurtured...
