WORLD ART DAY



World Art Day is observed on 15th April since 2012, commemorating the birth anniversary of the renowned artist Leornado da Vinci, born this day in 1452...

The theme for 2025 is -
"A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art."

Art as a medium speaks for itself. Devoid of conventional alphabets and numbers, art spurs on the development of the human imagination and creativity...

It is observed that accomplished people never waited for things to happen. They proactively strode on to create something tangible, not needing words for any explanations...

It is said that a great artist strives for betterment and improvisation, devoutly aiming for it's highest form. Gratitude thus remains at the core of all art, for the ability one is endowed with to bring on a smile on the followers, representing both appearance and inner significance of things...

Though with a vast realm, the basic 7 art forms can be listed as Painting, Sculpture, Literature, Architecture, Cinema, Music & Fine Arts and Theater. And as beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, picking the most famous artists of all time can be a difficult proposition. Michelangelo, Rembrandt, da Vinci, van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol, Raja Ravi Varma to name a few, have artworks that stand the test of time...

While an artist may need to brave innumerable stresses and challenges, it is the trait to accept being human, to adjust to one's fallibility and make corrections, to improvise and invent, and to deal with circumstances in order to perform what makes one proud, recognized and loved...

The day was chosen during the 21st World Congress of Neurology held in Vienna on September 22, 2013 under the aegis of World Federation of Neurology, which incidentally was also formed on 22 July, in 1957... INTERNATIONAL DAY OF RADIOLOGY

November 8th is observed as International Day Of Radiology as a tribute to the great German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen for his discovery of X-Rays in 1895.. The 1845 born Nobel Laureate of 1901, Röntgen majored in Physics and completed his PhD at the University of Zurich.. Discovering X-rays accidentally while using cathode rays for images of his wife’s hand, which depicted the bones and the wedding ring, Röntgen had made a giant leap for mankind in medical diagnosis.. International Day of Radiology (IDoR) was first celebrated in the year 2012 with the combined efforts of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American College of Radiology (ACR)..
