AUGUST MUSINGS
The picture on the left is reportedly a prize winner in a competition, the details of which are not in my possession. Nevertheless, the point to be driven home is that the face that one may discern at one glance isn't really there...
The picture on the right, sent by my schoolmate during Covid19 times, to my mind complements the one on the left...
We often do not see things as they are, rather we see them as we are. It all boils down to our focus, our perspective. Now when you see the same picture on the left from another angle, you would realize the predicament of lurking danger...
Does it not happen to each one of us, pretty much often in life? Thus it is said to always be on the lookout for people whom you would be comfortable with; for those with whom you can converse for hours and seek to be understood...
The ones who can make you laugh till you cry. The ones who say they are there, and mean it because they always show up. They are the ones you should be surrounded with, as you imbibe the lessons from the triumvirate fears, tears and years...
To end, I would always emphasize to never let go of the faith that there is still 'good' left in the world...
Wishing everyone an august August 2025...
🙏🙏
